Rev. Steven R. Geske is a native of the Chicagoland area. Three years after he was born, in Chicago Heights, his family moved to Itasca, Illinois. His father Roger and mother Jane, still reside in Itasca and are members of St. Luke Lutheran Church.

Pastor Geske, was confirmed at St. Luke's and graduated from St. Luke Lutheran School. He attended Walther Lutheran High School, in Melrose Park, and graduated in 1988. During his High School years he spent his summer months at Walcamp Outdoor Ministries Center in Kingston, Illinois.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, with minors in Greek and Philosophy, from Valparaiso University in 1992.

In 1996 Pastor Geske graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO. After his ordination he was installed at The Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity in Macon, Georgia, where he served as pastor until April 2001.

While he was at Holy Trinity the congregation began Trinity Woods Summer Day Camp, an outreach ministry that serves the needs of the community while witnessing about our Savior.

Rev. Geske has been serving as Pastor of Messiah Lutheran Church since April 8, 2001, where he also served his vicarage (1994-95).
